Introducing "Sway Chicago"

A note from the band...

Sway Chicago is one of Chicago's most respected and sought after dance bands. Featuring a trio of the city's top vocalists, Sway Chicago was featured in the 2008 Dennis Quaid movie "The Express," and has been an established presence at Chicago's top corporate and private events since 1999.

Sway Chicago can vary its size from 8-20 musicians to accommodate different events and budgets and plays a wide variety of music, including classic rock, contemporary, Motown, R&B, funk, disco, jazz, swing, Big Band and ethnic music. For special events, Sway can perform everything from smooth cocktail and dinner music to pack-the-floor dance music.

The band is led by Steve Biossat, one of Chicago's top male singers, who has performed with such talent as the Beach Boys and The Drifters. Steve's originally from New Orleans and his musical roots infuse the band with a performance style that's lively and fun, yet can be classic cool at a moment's notice. Steve's musical and talent acumen was recognized by Chicago's Hyatt Regency Hotel, which contracted Steve as its in-house entertainment director from 2005-2007.

Steve's time and expertise today is dedicated to Sway Chicago and helping clients realize their visions for their special events. The band performs throughout the Midwest and is available to perform nationally. The band recently performed a New Year's Eve show with Saturday Night Live alum and comedian Joe Piscopo, whom Steve is working with on a TV pilot for one of the major networks.

From R&B to Latin, Pop, Blues, Funk and Jazz, being versatile is the key element to a successful band. We have formed a union with life long friends and family members to develop what has become a group of Brothers that give our fans what they want.
